Senior Project FRESH Accepted at Bonz Beach Farms

If you're enrolled in Michigan's Senior Project FRESH program, we'd love to welcome you to Bonz Beach Farms!

We're proud to accept Senior Project FRESH benefits at our farm market, making it even easier for older adults in our community to enjoy fresh, locally grown food throughout the growing season.

What Is Senior Project FRESH?

Senior Project FRESH is a Michigan program that helps eligible older adults purchase fresh, nutritious foods from approved local farmers.

Participants receive $25 in benefits that can be used to purchase eligible items such as:

• Fresh fruits

• Fresh vegetables

• Honey

The program runs each year from May 1 through October 31.

What Can You Buy at Bonz Beach Farms?

Your Senior Project FRESH benefits can be used on eligible items available at our farm, including many of our seasonal:

• Fresh vegetables

• Fresh fruits (when in season)

• Local honey

Availability changes throughout the season as crops are harvested, so every visit offers something a little different.

Who Is Eligible?

You may qualify if you:

• Are 60 years of age or older and meet the household income guidelines established by the State of Michigan, or

• Are 55 years or older and belong to a federally recognized Michigan tribe or urban tribal group.

Every eligible household member may apply individually.
